Can you be more specific? Because what I think you're talking about does change colors.eyezoopeteis wrote:okay, this isn't that big of a deal or anything, but i was just thinking about it. on the old forums i liked how the links would change after you clicked on them... that way i would be able to tell which page i was on in a thread.

specifically, i'm talking about the links to the pages of the threads. if they change colors, i can barely tell. sorry, i don't know if i'm being any clearer.coz wrote:Can you be more specific? i know exactly what your talking about, one you click a certain page when you revisit it it cahnges a different color so you know which you clicked and which you didn't...? it does change for me, but it is very light...eyezoopeteis wrote:specifically, i'm talking about the links to the pages of the threads. if they change colors, i can barely tell. sorry, i don't know if i'm being any clearer.coz wrote:Can you be more specific? Tell me if it's not how you see it.

my fault. i was referring to the main pages (i don't know the correct term for them)... like when you click on 8-ball saloon, the page links under the fun facts link. i can't see a difference between the page links that i've clicked and the ones that i havent. lke i said, it's not THAT big of a deal, but it was just nice if i hadn't been on the forums in awhile and i forgot where i left off.coz wrote:Ok, because this is how I see it...eyezoopeteis wrote:specifically, i'm talking about the links to the pages of the threads. if they change colors, i can barely tell. sorry, i don't know if i'm being any clearer.coz wrote: Can you be more specific? ok, because some areas share the same color settings, I changed it enough that it doesnt look bad site-wide. Its subtle, but its better.eyezoopeteis wrote:my fault. i was referring to the main pages (i don't know the correct term for them)... like when you click on 8-ball saloon, the page links under the fun facts link. i can't see a difference between the page links that i've clicked and the ones that i havent. lke i said, it's not THAT big of a deal, but it was just nice if i hadn't been on the forums in awhile and i forgot where i left off.
Here's a tip for everyone. Everyone's got their own way of browsing a forum, but I've found this to be the easiest way.
Just click on "View Posts Since last Visit" (its in the top menu buttons row there with the round clock on the envelope) -- and leave that page up. It will only list the newest posts board-wide. I only use that view and it keeps me up to date on every single post made. Real easy. No jumping around. Never have to know where to left off. Never have to know anything, really.
Refresh the page to see what posts have been made since you last refreshed. Thats all!

OFFICIAL FORUMS UNDER CONTROL (maybe)
I just got a note from Andrew. He let me know there is now a captcha set up during registration on the official forums. It doesn't look like a great and all-poweful captcha, but it will probably help greatly cut down the number of spambots that were getting in.
And, as we all know, for some unknown reason, there's not been too much spam posts being made over there. So... I think it's safe to go back.
What do you think I should do with these forums?

i have fallen deeply in love with the hits forums (thank you, coz), mostly due to their spamlessness, sigability,* and smileyability.
however, i also enjoy the compactness and breadth of knowledge of the official forums.
and personally i don't mind taking an extra few seconds to peruse both forums; that seems to be the biggest complaint about using both.
*i would like to thank rob for letting me use his oxford comma
