You have to do a password recovery but all your usernames, post counts, and previous threads are still in tact.

I actually prefer using these forums. I keep clicking and getting lost on the new version of the OF. It's kinda difficult to read, too. Plus, my old email (which I signed up with) is long dead, so my postcount is reset, because I had to rely on an ancient one I made a long time ago but never posted with.

i realllllly don't like the lay out or color scheme of the new forums and something tells me that they're not going to be fixed anytime soon. so i guess i'll just have to check back and forth.

at least we didn't lose all that content from before.
we have some good lists

Yeah its really cool the content is still all there.
But uh... yeah, I hate to say it but I'm not a fan of the software they're using.

Can we vote? Can we get a decision on whether or not this will be the main forums?

I mean, I plan to revisit the OFs, just not as regularly as these. It's difficult to tell where new content is, and you can't 'jump' to the most recent post in a thread.

And also sneakily inform all posters on the official forums that this is where all the cool, exclusive people hang out.

And also sneakily ask the Talligans to please for finally really link to HITS from their site, or at least their MySpace/Facebook.

I share Oliver's sentiment.

I'm pretty fairly upset with this new setup. I enjoy the freedom here, even though words are no longer bleeped out on the OFs. The new one feels way too constricting and inelegant.

Don't plan on me posting a lot there, unless they clean it up a bit.

btw... if y'all actually WANT me to add in the old MAMMALS / BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS censors, I can do that HERE .... for old times sake.

I'm about to go check out the new site, but by everyone's reactions and my own personal acceptance and love of this site, I see it as being moderately unsuccessful.

They SO should have asked you to steal these forums from you. Than they wouldn't have had to do all the work on the official ones, and they could have handed you the keys and promptly forgotten about managing the thing.

Although now I DO wonder who the admin are there, as we may have some push early in the game.

Also: I would love to get mammal'd again, but apparently not in the messy new forums.

DOUBLE POST! WHOA!

Holy WOW its worse than I thought. The ONLY pluses I see are:
-Preserved Content
-Runs Snappy Quick

Other than that, it is HORRIBLE.

I say we all set our website to these forums, and if people poke around they're sure to find 'em.

PS - I honestly can't figure out how to reset my password. They gave me one in the recovery, but I really want to change it. Whether its because its too early or something else, can I get a hand?

Took me a while, too.
~Go to your profile (easy way is to click your own name)
~Click View/Edit Complete Profile
It'll show your registered email address and then a CHECKBOX to check if you wanna change your email and another checkbox if you wanna change your password.
